Companies making a bold stand in the midst of injustice and chaos

Update Tue 6/2/20 at 9:20 pm, which seems like an eternity since this weekend.

I am starting to see more companies trickling in their messaging around this issue. Your timidness and delayed actions have hurt your employees based on the conversations I have had. Just today, “I'm just dealing with the typical inconsiderate comments and lack of responsiveness from my business establishment.”

We all must do better.

For those companies that took a bold stand right away, kudos to you.

It does not take a conversion expert to know that the hero area, the top main section, of the homepage is among the most valuable real estate of a website. In other words, what a company presents there is very important. Our country is in pain and lots of people have heavy hearts with all the heightened events surrounding racial injustice this past weekend and weeks prior. I took a quick look around, on Monday June 1 at 10 am, to see what some of the big companies were messaging on their homepage after a weekend of mass protesting and rioting. It seems like the sports companies are all over this and most companies in other industries are not.

My guess is, it took one company to be a leader, to make a bold stand and others followed.

Unfortunately, other big brands have not as boldly placed the message against Racism front and center. Yes, it is complicated. Their business is a bit different than the sports industry. There are millions of dollars on the line based on the content of their homepage. I understand, but I just want to thank the organizations that are making a bold stand. I hope other companies will take the courageous step to be a leader in other industries like some of these brands below.

One thing to note, a big step for these sports brands is to get diversity into the executive ranks.
