Are you feeling stressed from a lack of control with all that is going on during the pandemic? Do you feel less productive?

Yes and yes?

You are not alone.

I thought about what knowledge I can possible share that would be of value to someone feeling really anxious right now. As I started looking through all the books I have read recently, Emily Fletcher’s book popped out.

If you have not dipped your toes into meditation, 1) I highly recommend you try it for at least two weeks and 2) I recommend Emily Fletcher’s book Stress Less, Accomplish More. It is an easy and quick read and it helped me further understand the benefits of meditation.

Why do I recommend meditation and the book? Meditation has been a great investment of my time over the last several years resulting in feeling more balanced, calm, and present. Fletcher’s book recommends a simple 15 minute meditative technique that is easy to follow.

I will share two things from the book that have helped me particularly through this turbulent time.

#1. You are in control. Fletcher references a quote that I love. “There are is no such thing as a stressful situation. Just stressful responses to a given situation.” We all have an infinite sea of calm, patience and love within us and we have control over how we respond and feel to what is happening around us. A lot of our stress lies in not knowing the future and the feeling of lack of control. To shift the mindset within ourselves to acknowledge we have control is a huge win.

#2. Ziva Meditation technique. The 15 minute meditation is broken into the following categories. 2-3 minutes in mindfulness. 10-12 minutes in meditation. 2-3 minutes in manifestation. In the video below, I try to explain the differences.

Again, I highly recommend trying meditation if you have not tried it already. It is a great investment of your time. I happened to have read “Stress Less, Accomplish More” and found it helpful in my journey to find more balance, calm, and presence.

Hope this helps!

My video describes the above in a little more detail
